Getting to Pismo Beach, California

Taking a road trip to a destination wedding ceremony such as Pismo Beach, California makes even the simplest, most intimate, two-person only ceremonies more special and more memorable than you can possibly imagine. Whether its just the two, or you plan a scenic road-trip caravan with a small group of friends and family – you are in for a real treat!

Californians to the north and to the south of the central coast know what it is to break out of their local drudgery by coming here to Pismo Beach / Morro Bay.
You can book a commuter flight into San Luis Obispo, grab a rental car and you can be here on my lovely beach in 15 minutes of leaving the airport. The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport is a short 12-miles from the beach and serves visitors with the choice of two commercial airlines with flights to and from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Phoenix, Arizona. (The folks in the sweltering heat of Arizona know how to cool off and relax!)

Not to downplay the speed and ease of a commuter flight, but frankly, most visitors to the Central Coast and to our fabulous beaches prefer to drive! Getting here is half the fun! We have one of the most sought out, most scenic, road trips you can possibly experience…

From Hearst Castle to the north, down to the magic and majesty of Morro Bay – a stones’ throw from Pismo – to the Danish Village of Solvang down south and all of the fabulous Micro Climate Coastal Wineries dotted with cute Bed and Breakfasts throughout the scenic vineyards, the Central Coast makes for a wonderful get-a-way. Toss a wedding, vows renewal or commitment ceremony into that get-a-way and you’re looking at quite the memorable time!

Morro Bay just next door…
